I just picked up a 2002 Seadoo GTX 951 DI yesterday and I cannot get the lanyard beep when connected to the post. With the wires to the latch disconnected, the actuator will work and then the fuse will blow (trunk open or closed). The last thing I did was borrow my buddies datalogger and when connected I couldn't get a single reading! Thats why I now suspect my ECU is toast. IT IS ECM GROUND FUSE. The engine control unit, or ECU, is basically the brains of your car. is there any module in the wheel itself?. I replaced the fuse and yes the light worked as it should, thereby saving the £1200 odd pounds that Toyota would have charged to replace the entire ABS system. I would investigate those before changing the ECU.
